Purity, crystallisation, cheruthen, delivery and storage — the things buyers ask us most.

Every batch is raw — cold-extracted, never pasteurised — and lab-tested against FSSAI honey standards, including screening for added sugars. Nothing is added and nothing is blended in. Rather than ask you to trust an adjective, we date every batch to its season and keep it traceable to the bloom it came from.

Not at all — it’s a natural sign of real, raw honey. Pure honey often crystallises, especially in cooler conditions. Stand the jar in warm (not hot) water and it returns to liquid, with all its goodness intact.

Cheruthen comes from tiny stingless bees, and a whole colony produces only a few hundred grams in an entire year. Its rarity, its labour, and its treasured medicinal reputation in Kerala are all reflected in the price.

Completely natural. It’s honey our bees make from the sweet nectar rubber trees secrete on their young leaves for a few weeks each year. It’s simply light, mild honey — nothing to do with latex.

Yes. After the monsoon we migrate our colonies up into the mountain ranges to meet the wild forest bloom at its peak, bringing them home again in December. It is the only way to gather genuine wild forest honey in any quantity.

Keep it in a cool, dry place with the lid closed. No refrigeration needed for honey (royal jelly is the exception). Raw honey keeps for years.

Children over one year, yes — honey should not be given to infants under 12 months. For diabetes or any medical condition, please consult your doctor; honey is still a sugar.

Not at extraction — that is done cold, at ambient temperature. Honey that is already below 20% moisture at harvest goes straight to the jar. Honey that comes off the hive wetter than that is dried under vacuum at the Kerala Agricultural University plant in Vellayani, to bring it within the FSSAI moisture limit and stop it fermenting. Under vacuum, water leaves at a far lower temperature than open heating would need, so the honey is warmed gently rather than pasteurised. We test HMF and diastase before and after, so the effect is measured rather than claimed.
